1. Choose Quality, Not Quantity!

Scope out the buffet ahead of time so you know what you really want to eat. Sample only your favorite dishes instead of heaping everything onto your plate. Select bite-sized goodies so you get variety, without overdoing it.

2. A Skinny Little Secret

To stifle your tummy's rumblings, drink a large glass of water before you eat so you feel full and won't serve yourself too much food. If your eyes are bigger than your stomach, don't feel badly if you can't finish everything on your plate. Just eat when you're hungry and stop when you're satisfied!

3. Slow Down, Sister!

Practice random acts of kindness and let others go before you in the buffet line so many of the most tempting items will be snatched before you get there. Practice chewing your food more slowly to savor every delicious bite and to allow your stomach to feel pleasantly satisfied, not stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey.

4. Live A Little, Why Don't You?

Don't deprive yourself of food with a hunger-strike. Skipping a meal before a gathering may seem like a great way to cut some calories, but feeling famished at the beginning of a feast will make you feel justified to overeat. Have some protein before you join the gathering so you are less-inclined to gorge your gorgeous self.

5. Go Green!

Be a vegetarian for a day! Choose healthy colorful foods like fresh fruits and vegetables so you fill up on the good stuff and won't gorge on fatty foods like pumpkin pie and gravy. But be sure to save room for dessert, too! Prance past the dessert table and grab your favorite THE SKINNY COW® ice cream treat from your freezer.
